What your first coaching session will look like?

Your first coaching session, is designed to establish a strong foundation for yourcoaching relationship and set the stage for your development. Here's what to expect:​

  • Getting to know your coach​

  • Recommendation of an initial diagnostic assessment (if applicable) ​
  • A tailored coaching plan for you​
  • First steps on your journey​

Diagnostic assessments

A coach may recommend you complete a diagnostic assessment as part of yourcoaching journey. ​

A diagnostic Assessment refers to a specific element of professional coaching services that can facilitate an analysis of your skills, character traits, and areas for improvement using a validated diagnostic methodology. ​

Your coach will recommend on that is best suited to you. This may include:​

  • Multi-rater assessments, such as personality assessments​
  • 180/360-degree feedback​
  • Executive presence evaluations​
  • Team management feedback.​

Mentoring

Mentoring is a relationship in which a professional with specific industry experience orskill sets sought by the individual seeking mentoring guides that individual in theirprofessional development journey. This involves the mentor sharing expertise, wisdom,and advice based on their own experiences and personal career journey.​

Mentoring services offer a less formal arrangement as an alternative or accompaniment to coaching, providing guidance through regularly sharing experiences andbrainstorming solutions to specific work-related challenges.​

Frequently asked questions

How do I get funding approval?

Please reach out to your manager to request funding approval from your department/agency/council. If you need assistance or additional information to present to your manager, feel free to contact us at aspl.coaching@aspl.net.au.

How many sessions can I get?

We recommend starting with 6 sessions to ensure you get the most out of your coaching journey. However, the number of sessions is entirely up to you and what works best for your unique requirements. If you have specific goals or challenges you'd like to address, our team can help you determine the appropriate number of sessions. Reach out to aspl.coaching@aspl.net.au, and our team will be able to assist you.

How do I select a coach?

You have two options for selecting a coach.

Option 1: Our team can recommend a coach for you based on your unique requirements. Just fill out the questions in the registration form, and we'll be happy to help.

Option 2: You can review our coaches' bios on our website here to get a sense of their backgrounds and coaching styles.

Once you've registered, you will receive access to a booklet to review who fits best for you.
